You Are the One You Have Been Waiting For
When you feel these words in your bones, you understand your true power.
When you truly integrate this, your transformation begins.
Are You Waiting for Life to Happen?
How many times have you put off taking action toward your dreams because:
- You are waiting for the right person to show up.
- You are waiting for opportunities to appear.
- You are waiting for the perfect moment.
- You are waiting for manifestation rituals to work.
- You are waiting for God or the Universe to give you a sign.
You are waiting your life away.
You are giving your power away to external circumstances.
The right person will show up when you move toward your goals. The opportunity will appear when you create space for it. The right moment is when you take the first step. God will help you when you show your faith through action.
What Is Within Your Control?
I am fully aware that not everyone in this world has the same opportunities. This is not about “everyone can have whatever they want.” The truth is, we cannot always get everything we desire. Some things are beyond our control. Life happens, and sometimes, all we can do is learn to live with it and turn our struggles and pain into inner strength.
At the same time, it is crucial to recognize what is within our control. Understanding the difference between what we can and cannot change is a turning point. Once you accept this, you will free up energy to make real progress toward your dreams.
The Gap Between Knowing and Living
We often say that everything starts within us. That our mindset shapes our reality. But saying it and living it are two very different things. There is a huge gap between understanding this concept and embodying it. Until you bridge that gap, true transformation will remain out of reach. You will always have one eye on external circumstances, waiting for something outside of you to facilitate the process. But the essential part—the part only you can control—will be neglected.
Knowing it is not enough. You have to live it.
Your Two Choices
You have two choices: wait and do nothing, or take action and trust that what you need will show up along the way.
As the Dhammapada (Verse 276) states: “You yourself must strive. The Buddhas only point the way.”
If you are reading this, you are likely searching for tools, answers, or inspiration—something to help you out of a difficult situation. You might find what you’re looking for here or somewhere else. But remember, these are only tools. They can guide and support you, but they won’t do the work for you. Only you can pick yourself up.
The Power of Self-Responsibility
This is a lesson I have learned through my own journey. I want to emphasize the importance of self-responsibility—the responsibility we have for our own lives.
Self-responsibility is not about blaming yourself for your circumstances. It is about acknowledging the decisions you’ve made, understanding their consequences, and recognizing the resources you have to create a different future.
No matter how many gurus cross your path, if you don’t take responsibility for your life and take action, they won’t be able to help you.
Once you embrace this truth, you will feel an undeniable power within. You will no longer be just a passenger on this journey—you will become the captain of your own ship called life. Challenges and unexpected circumstances will continue to arise, but you will navigate them with more clarity and confidence.
The Benefits of Embracing Self-Responsibility
When you integrate self-responsibility into your daily life, you will experience:
- Increased inner power.
- New perspectives that bring new possibilities.
- Greater confidence and resilience.
- Enhanced focus and clarity.
- Simpler decision-making, as you become more attuned to what is right for you.
Understanding that you are the one you have been waiting for means embracing your role in creating the life you want.
Instead of waiting for events, opportunities, and people to come to you, create the conditions for them to appear.
A Powerful Practice: Reflection
One of the most effective practices for cultivating self-responsibility is reflection.
Be honest—painfully honest—with yourself.
Have you truly done everything you can to improve your life? Really everything?
Maybe you have. Some ships sail through calm waters, while others face stormy seas.
Life is not linear. But no matter your circumstances, do what you can with what you have.
Create your mission. Define your purpose. This is your ship, your life.
Closure
This message is for my past self.
The version of me who made bold decisions and faced the consequences. That version of me didn’t know it at the time, but without those decisions and their lessons, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t be writing this so confidently. The lessons I learned are the ones I am using now. Those decisions made me understand that no one is going to save me if I don’t save myself.
I am the one I have been waiting for. And I take responsibility for my life.
